    Crappy-ass Monday

    This is gonna be brief. I am attending a funeral of a very good friend of our's today. And this entire fucked up mess makes no sense!!! He was shot and killed Thursday night by his 10 year old son, because he had been grounded ! This is a good family and the news is crusifying the father because of the way he had gun's. This man and his kid's are avid outdoor people. Hunting, fishing, camping etc. This is so very wrong in so many way's, I can not even begin to let you know. He did not abuse his kid's, he loved them dearly, they loved him. He had FULL custody of them. This is just so very wrong! And it is breaking my heart to watch his family now having to deal with the loss of a son, and father. And what in the hell is going to happen to his son? He is a good kid, Fuck, he is only 10 years old. Shit!! I cant deal with this, D

    Oh, I am so sorry about your friend. Kids' brains do not develop enough to where they can fully appreciate long term consequences til they are over 20. He may very well be a good kid and his dad was a good dad, but somehow there was some kind of disconnect somewhere. (I'm not judging - I have 4 of my own who have done very questionable stuff!) I'm sure the boy is heartbroken beyond belief and will now be turned over to the system. He and his whole family are on my prayers. Hang in there.
